KELLY

A little town north of Jackson and across from the Jackson Hole Airport, Kelly was named for rancher and sawmill industrialist Bill Kelly, and was once known as Grovont or Gros Ventre. It is technically a part of the Grand Teton National Park, located on the Eastern border and has a small population of about 180 year-round residents. A quiet, local community lives in this gorgeous area, that is walking distance from the Gros Ventre River, is home to plentiful wildlife, and is about a 15 minutes drive from the Town of Jackson along the National Elk Refuge.

Kelly is a stop for many who are heading to recreate in the Gros Ventre Mountains, wildlife view on Antelope Flats road, or heading to Slide Lake, formed in 1925 when 50 million tons of rock and debris slid off Sheep Mountain, damming the Gros Ventre River.
