As you pass through the neighborhoods and houses along the way, you are greeted with bright yellow and orange foliage.

Best Iconic Fall View: Oxbow Bend
If you're looking for the quintessential Grand Teton fall view, head to Oxbow Bend. The Snake River curves through the foreground with Mount Moran rising behind it, and in fall the surrounding vegetation turns shades of yellow and gold. Oxbow Bend is especially beautiful around sunrise and is also known for wildlife viewing, especially moose. For the full experience, bring binoculars and give yourself time to stay awhile. Best Classic Teton Viewpoint: Snake River Overlook
For another iconic fall view without needing to hike, stop at Snake River Overlook. The viewpoint looks across the Snake River corridor toward the Teton Range, with golden aspens surrounding the river and adding bright pockets of color to the foreground.
Because it's easily accessible from Highway 89/191, Snake River Overlook pairs perfectly with Oxbow Bend. If you only have a morning to explore Grand Teton National Park, visiting both gives you two classic perspectives of the Tetons while leaving plenty of time for other stops along the way.
Best Fall Hike: Taggart Lake
